    It’s Got to be Gaviscon. What makes Gaviscon work more effectively for me is that it also contains a large amount of Sodium Alginate. This has a small amount of neutralising activity but its main function is to produce a protective “raft” on top of the stomach contents. A lot of the pain from heartburn is from the acidic contents of the stomach being pushed up and through the sphincter at the top of the stomach into the oesophagus.     Simply the best Gaviscon is the only thing that ever works for me, and i have tried them all.As i get older i find my tolerance for foods is getting less and less, now even pasta gives me heartburn and acid reflux, so i always have a bottle of this in the bathroom.It does taste chalky and its not particularly pleasant, i find the peppermint flavour easier to tolerate than the original but i still give a ewww and shake my head in disgust when i take it.Be mindful of prices as…

    Very helpful for acid reflux and indigestion I’ve only recently started getting indigestion/acid reflux (in my 50s), so it has come as a bit of an unpleasant surprise. Having said that, I did my research and Gaviscon had very good reviews on Amazon so I thought I’d try it. I’m actually quite amazed at how quickly and effective it is.
