    The author still has some learning to do before teaching others The book starts out explaining that author is a doctor and an ‘expert in gastroenterology’. He also states that for years he was overweight and suffered from reflux that he treated with tablets and he never made the connection between heartburn and a poor diet – “Somehow it never occurred to me”.From that opening I was struggling to realise what he actually learnt in medical school, as a link between digestive disorders and diet is the most obvious thing in the world.     Fantastic book all round. The first part covers the symptoms and research into GERD – I felt like he had written my life story over the last 3 years. The recipes are AMAZING – it’s like having restaurant quality food every day. It’s all made fresh so needs a bit of time and effort and in particular in the beginning to buy in different spices (yes spices!), pulses and so on, but well worth the effort. This is the sort of diet food you run to, not away from! We have served some of these…
